420 Class Championship Trophies

Winning a 420 Championship is an outstanding acheivement and is rewarded with the glory of victory and presentation of the 420 Trophy. The 420 Class also presents other trophies at our Championships in recognition of individual sailor's or team achievements.

The Junior European Championship Cup

The Huck Scott Memorial Trophy
  Deed of Foundation
Upon suggestion by the International 420 Class President, the participants to the General Assembly of the Class in 1993 at Marstrand, Sweden decided to donate the "Huck Scott Memorial Trophy" for the youngest team completing the most possible races at each International 420 Class World Championship.

The Trophy is perpetual. The winning team shall receive a framed photograph of the Trophy with certification recording the winning team and year of achievement.

The "youngest team" shall be defined as the team with the lowest combined ages. In the event of a tie, the team with the youngest member (skipper or crew) shall be declared the winning team.

The International 420 Class Association shall engrave the date, winner's names and venue on the Trophy.

The winning team shall send the trophy in its case to the President of the International 420 Class Association or to the organising authority of the 420 World Championships. The Trophy shall reach the President or organising authority prior to the upcoming World Championships.

The Francis Mouvet Trophy
  Awarded to the nation who has the highest placed 3 boats in the World Championship using both the World and Ladies fleets.

This will be calculated proportionate to the numbers of entries in each fleet.

 
 The Wlliam Sanchez Trophy
  Awarded to the highest placed boat, both aged 16 or under, at the end of the year. One for the World fleet and one for the Ladies fleet.
 
 The John Merricks Trophy
  Awarded to the highest placed team, both aged 18 or
Under, at the end of the year. One for the World Fleet and on for the Ladies fleet
