The NCR 2020 African 420&470 Championship wouldn’t be possible without the full engagement of the local 48 volunteers for the Race Committee.

From experienced former sailors and other Luanda sport clubs members to some actual Opi sailors wanting to join the olympic dream in the future, together with rowing and canoe athletes, a few keen big game fishing lovers and even university students wanting to help, this heterogenic group has been giving the PRO (Principal Race Officer - Nino Shmueli from Israel), IRO (International Race Officer - João Aranda from Mozambique) and IM (International Measurer - Haluk Suntay from Turkey) complete support.

The Organizing Committee aggregates some other 20 good friends taking care of diverse tasks as food and water distribution, media and foreign teams, competing boats transfer to the beach, etc.

Also the organizing authorithies (FADEN - Angolan Nautical Sports Federations, CNL - Clube Naval de Luanda and CNIL - Clube Naval da Ilha de Luanda) greatly appreciates the enthusiastic help from the police, firemen, navy and medical emergency - all of them now discussing sailing and stressing with dayly results. A Total of more than 100 persons are directly involved with the event, not counting with the always cheerful spectactors on the beach. Thank you all !!!
