420 CLASS COACHES AND SAILORS CLINIC EXTENDS TALENT POOL IN BAHAMAS
The final day of the International 420 Class Coaches and Sailors Clinic on Sunday 18 March saw Head Coach Steve Keen present a detailed classroom session on race tactics and strategy.
The on water session focused a lot on starting and racing techniques, as participants transferred their newly learnt classroom to the race track.
Steve Keen rounded off the day with a debrief, questions and answers, and invited each participant to share the most valuable lesson learnt today.
The first ever 420 Class Clinic in Bahamas wrapped up with Robert Dunkley, director of sailing for the school, expressing thanks to Steve on the incredibly informative and productive sessions.
Certificates and polo shirts were presented to all participants.
The Clinic was run by the International 420 Class in partnership with the Bahamas 420 National Class Association and Nassau Yacht Club from 15-18 March 2018. The 420 Class Clinic in the Bahamas is the first of several clinics taking place in 2018 and part of the 420 Class Development Programme.
Next up the International 420 Class will run a clinic for the continent of Oceania in New Zealand from 24 April to 1 May 2018.
