A strong fleet of forty-two teams contested the 6 races, and no surprise to see Agustin Romero/Felipe Diniz at the head of the leaderboard, with the 2013 ISAF Youth World Champions from Brazil, Tiago Brito/Andrei Kneipp just 1 point behind. Rounding out the top three are Chile's Nadja Horwitz/Carmina Malsch, who are also the top placed women's team, and carry a 1 point deficit over the second team.

The 420 South Americans are being held over two weekends, 5-6 October and 12-14 October. Between times, the teams have a chance to improve their skills with the 420 South American Development Clinic which is taking place.
