Three days of light breeze set the stage for the German 420 Youth Championship, albeit under a strong Autumn sun.
The 98-boats were split into two fleets for the racing, but the wind refused to play ball for the first three days of racing, with a mirror-like surface across the Wannsee. Eventually, on Saturday the breeze filled in to around 5 knots, enabling three races to be completed. On Sunday, a distinct improvement to around 10 knots meant another four race results could be added to the scorecard.
Jan Borbet/Lea Borbet dominated to take two wins from the 7 races and win by two points over Nico Jansen/Nicolas Corsi, with Theresa Loffler/Theresa Heilingbrunner in third. Top U17 team were Nico Jansen/Nicolas Corsi.
