The Balearic Islands team of Albert Torres/Toni Massanet (RCN Palma), claimed the Velanium Trophy's championship after dominating the event from start to finish. On the final day of racing, they wrapped up with three back to back race wins, to finish just counting 9 points, after 2 discards from the 9 race series. Impressive control in a breezy day reaching up to 20 knots.

Second overall to brothers Santi Mas/Luis Mas (CN El Masnou) with 19 points, while andHernández (RCN Gran Canaria)/Luis Bugallo (RCN Vigo) in third on 24 points.

"We are very happy," said Albert Torres after racing. "The racing level was very high in the fleet, both nationally and internationally with French and German teams. For us the weather conditions were very good. Yesterday's were tough and demanded a lot of technical understanding between helm and crew. The organization was very good. We finished the programme and are thankful for receiving snacks at the end of the day. We will compete again here, at CN El Balís, in the Spanish championship. It is very important for us, because it is part of the ISAF World Cup and all our opponents will be here."
