This weekend a 3-day event completes the challenging Selectors started back in March at Weymouth & Portland, continued at Sunderland YC, returning south to Hayling Island to finish on Monday. 50+ boats have sailed the Series, with more boats at each event, inc. teams from France, Germany, Belgium & Ireland.

This weekend a 3-day event completes the challenging Selectors started back in March at Weymouth & Portland, continued at Sunderland YC, returning south to Hayling Island to finish on Monday. 50+ boats have sailed the Series, with more boats at each event, inc. teams from France, Germany, Belgium & Ireland.

By Sunday night, series leaders, Richard Mason & Daniel Schieber, 2006 Youth Champions and GBR team for the ISAFYouths, held their lead by 20 points over James & Dan Ellis, who took 3 bullets on Sunday and a 37 point lead for the Hayling event over Neil Marsden (recently returned fromcompeting in the back from the SOF in Hyeres) & Christian Birrell in 2nd (3rd in the Series). Next in both are Women’s Youth Champions (and ISAF entrants), Sophie Weguelin & Katrina Hughes. 5 boats from Cork & Dublin have made the journey for this last large-fleet regatta before the 2006 international championships.
