Light winds again today, with the opening race of the day (race 7 of the series) in a light 7 knot easterly. Stunning race strategy from Montalvano/Gutierrez gave them the race win, their third of the series.

All change for the next race, as the breeze swung to the south-east and built to a more challenging 18 knots, Race victory to Leonardo Lombardi/Felipe Toledo, and a struggle in the breeze for Montalvano/Gutierrez, helped the boys team close the points gap to the leaders, but they are still 12 points behind. Third to  Ramiro Cosentino/Martin Barletta from Argentina.

The twenty-nine boat fleet will wrap up racing on Sunday 1 April and the 2018 420 South American Champion will be crowned.
