JOHAN VIVIER/EBEN VIVIER TAKE CONTROL AT SOUTHERN CHARTER CLASSICS EVENT 2
Hosted at Theewee Sports Club, 1-2 December 2018, the Southern Charter Classics is a 3-stage series held at different clubs around Cape Town.
The first event held on 8-9 September 2018 at Zeekoe Vlei Yacht Club was won by DuanePetertsen/Fayaad Shaik,but the pair did not compete in event 2, opening the door for new faces at the top.
A determined run of victories, 5 out of 6 races, saw victory go to Johan Viver/Evan Vivier. Tiebreak for second place between Lance Curtis/Amir Yaghya and Rivaldo Arendse/Niels Tiaden saw Curtis/Yachya switch from 3rd to 2nd from their 2nd place finish in the final race.Third to Arendse/Tiaden.
Eight teams competed in event 2, with a total of 13 thirteen 420 teams competed across the two events so far. Up next is event 3 at Hermanus Yacht Club on 9-10 February 2018.
