The Notice of Race for the 2018 420 and 470 Junior European Championships has been published.

The 2018 420 and 470 Junior European Championships is being hosted at Clube Naval de Sesimbra and is being organized in partnership with the Club, the Federação Portuguesa de Vela, Portuguese 420 and 470 Class Association and the International 420 and 470 Class Associations.

The 420 and 470 Junior European Championships is open to non-European teams, although the medals will be presented to Europeans teams, and nations are entitled to make the following entries:

  • 2018 420 European Championships - is restricted to athletes aged 18 and under at the end of 2018 (born in 2000 or later). Each NCA is entitled to 7 boats, with 14 boats for the host nation.
  • 2018 420 U17 Junior European Championships - is restricted to athletes aged 16 and under at the end of 2018 (born in 2002 or later). Each NCA is entitled to 3 boats, with 6 boats for the host nation.
  • 2017 470 Junior European Championship - is restricted to athletes aged 23 and under at the end of 2018 (born in 1995 or later).

420 - online entry is now open and each National Class Association (NCA) has been emailed their individual login details to complete online entry. Emails are sent to the contact details we hold on record for each National Class Association, so please check the details at http://www.420sailing.org/default/classinfo. If your NCA has not received your online entry login details or you have any enquiries about online entry, please mail office@420sailing.org

470 - online entry is now open for 470 teams who may make their own entry. If you have any queries regarding online entry please email office@470.org

As detailed in the Notice of Race, entries should be completed and paid on or before 3 June 2018 to take advantage of the earlybird entry fee of EUR250. Entries received from 4 June onwards will be EUR300.
