OCEANIA COACHES AND SAILORS CLINICS WILL FOCUS ON BEGINNERS TO ELITE
The Takapuna Boat Club, New Zealand will host the Oceania 420 Class Coaches and Sailors Clinic from 24 April - 1 May 2018. From 24-27 April and 1 May, the focus will be on a low to medium level clinic, and from 28-30 April 2018 the high level clinic will take place.
The Oceania Coaches and Sailors Clinic is focusing on two experience levels:
- Low to Medium Level 420 Coaches and Sailors Clinic - 24-27 April and 1 May 2018
- High Level 420 Coaches and Sailors Clinic - 28-30 April 2018
Head coach will be Nikos Drougkas (GRE) who is well-known on the International 420 Class circuit and holds many years experience, and has worked in the USA for many years.
The Clinic is open to coaches and sailors of all youth classes from countries in Oceania. The maximum number of entries accepted will be 60 (30 x coaches and 30 x sailors). If the clinic is over-subscribed, entries will be limited at the discretion of the organisers. NCAs and MNAs should indicate the order of priority of their coaches and sailors. All entries must be endorsed by their relevant NCA or MNA.
The aim of the Clinic is to share knowledge and coaching techniques, with sessions delivered by specialists in a mix of shore side theory and on-the-water practical sessions.
The essential costs of the Clinic are being met by the International 420 Class Association, with participating coaches and sailors required to cover their transport, accommodation and meals.
The Clinic will be a mix of on-water sessions, lectures, exercises and presentations. Please take a look at the links below to the Clinic Programme and General Conditions for the two different clinics - Low to Medium Level and High Level - and submit your Registration Form by the deadline of 16 April 2018.
