The events kicks off with each competitor completing two runs of the 24 gate downhill slalom in the ski resort of Auron in the French Alps, just 100 km miles north of Antibes. Head back south to the coast and attention turns to racing, with 420s, Fireballs and Finns in the mix for two days of on-water competition.

Thirteen 420 teams took to the race track for a 4 race series, with a battle to the end for victory. Winning by just 1 point were Amelie Flandorffer/Iona Wyper from scores of 1,3,4 and a discarded 8th place in the final race. A tiebreak decider for 2nd and 3rd with both teams on 9 points, but advantage to Ian Garreta/Julien Bunel, with Ange Delerce/Timothe Rossi in third.
