In the meantime though the reporting is great - Craig Moss writes about Day 2: “An awesome day of quite strong breeze. Start boat averaging 22kts for the first race which thinned the fleet a little.
470s and restricted fleet joined in for their starts at race 2, 6 470s and only 3 of the restricted fleet made it out today with the 4th(me) heading back to the beach with a 10yr old daughter saying she was scared. …“sailing for life” I think it goes , so we decided it would be better to make the whole thing a positive experience and try again tomorrow. Chris Steele and Thomas Saunders had an excellent day with 4 wins, really showing how its done . We expect 6 470s and 7 restricted fleet tomorrow .

“Unfortunately for our guys personally, my son, Brad injured himself in the first race yesterday which has meant he couldn’t crew , so they had to change roles yesterday, and today only just got through the first race. We were able to substitute in Scott Illingworth for his crew position, which was awesome. This now takes them out of any youth contention though. It turns out he had popped a rib and spine was out in a couple of places, If tomorrow’s forecast of a lighter day comes in, he will try again”.
