Swiss win at Workum; Deckers/Bos & Stumpel/Marck book passages to Istanbul
The Open Dutch 420 Championships, as part of the Dutch Youth Championships, concluded on the IJsselmeer. off Workum. in the Netherlands. The Open Champions are Linda Fahrni & Maja Siegenthaler of Thunersee YC, Switzerland. Having led the women at the recent CIMA Championship in Marseille, Linda & Maja’s win in a fleet of 32 on the IJsselmeer will further build their campaign for this year’s ISAF Youth Worlds at Istanbul.
By Saturday, the Dutch had their teams to represent the Netherlands at Istanbul chosen. Max Deckers & Duko Bos, who were 2nd overall at the Dutch Youths which concluded on Sunday, will be the men’s team, while Charlotte Stumpel & Shannen Marck will represent their country in the Women’s double-hander competition,
