The 2010 ISAF Youth Championships are underway!
Two races on the first day of racing in Istanbul, and the Japanese team, Hirohiki Yamaguchi & Tetsuya Isozaki, took the early lead with two bullets! Back for a second bite of the ISAF cherry, Jordi Xammar & Joan Herp (ESP) are in 2nd and Jao Vilas Boas & Tomas Camelo (POR), also back for a second year, are running 3rd.
Khairunnisa Mohd Afendy of Malaysia, also returning for a second year and leading women’s helm at the NZL Nationals earlier this year, is joined by Ameira Izla Zuklefli to take the Day 1 lead of the Women;’s fleet, but on equal points with Linda Fahrni & Maja Siegenhalter (SUI). Lara Vadlau & Elli Smolka (AUT) are in 3rd.
