UPDATE FROM DAY 2 OF 420 CLINIC IN MYANMAR

Following on from Wednesday's opening day 1 of the 420 Class Sailors and Coaches Clinic in Myanmar, which focused on a presentation of the 420 Class, familiarity with boat preparation, and the afternoon on the water, day 2 started to consolidate skills learnt.

ALL EVENT INFORMATION

Thursday 8 September, saw 420 Class coaches Jose Massapina (POR) and Nikos Drougkas (GRE) review day 1 and focus on improving the skills developed, reviewing the video footage from day 1 to identfy good technique and improvements to be made, particularly roll tacking and gybes.

New skills worked through ashore included rolling tacks, gybes and drop and spinnaker hoists, before heading out on the water for a four-hour session to put the theory into practice.

Time was also spent reviewing the Racing Rules of Sailing.
