Alexander Coyle (ISV) and Judge Ryan (USA) seem to be helming the lead 420s after first races of two Qualifying Fleets at the 2009 Intervela at Riva del Garda. Jorge Martinez (ESP) and Jacopo Plazzi (ITA) are on 2 points and Santiago Mas Depares (ESP) and Kevin Peponnet (FRA) are on 3 points apiece. And Amy Seabright (GBR) and Stamatia Fragiadaki (GRE) lead the women on 5 points, with Sara Amendola (ITA) on 6 points.

Very early days, but with 127 entrants, the Intervela looks set for a great competition and good experience for those entered for the World Championships at the end of the month. (We’ll try and catch the crews tomorrow!)
