Racing got underway in a 12 knot breeze under a cloudy sky, dropping to around 7 knots for the final race.

Close racing behind the leaders saw a tie to Ivan Shestopalov/Pierce Ornstine and Dane Byerly/Robbie Nicholls on18 points each in the sixteen boat fleet. Top 420 girls team were Kathryn Hall/Emily Gonzalez in 5th.

Two race days were scheduled for the Championship hosted at Texas Corinthian Yacht Club, but the weather was not onside on Sunday with fog obliterating the race course, so the leaderboard positions remain.

The US Mid-Winters were the final qualifying event for sailors seeking to make Team USA for the 2015 420 World Championships in Japan and the 2015 420 Junior Europeans in Bulgaria.
