VICTORIAN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP CROWN GOES TO NICHOLAS JOEL/HUGO LLEWELYN

Sorrento Sailing Couta Boat Club hosted the annual Victorian State 420 Class Championship from 11-13 March, with the 10 race series contested by twenty-five teams from around the territory.

Nicholas Joel/Hugo Llewelyn were crowned as Victorian State Champions, pulling back off an opening scorecard of 6,3, to claim 6 wins in the remaining 8 races, winning with a 10 point advantage.

Second and top girls team were Laura Harding/Eleanor Grimshaw, who opened their assault with two wins, going on to race a super consistent series, to finish 9 points ahead of William Pratt/Charlie Dixon.

Mention also to Matilda Richardson/Lily Richardson who finished 6th overall and were the top place U16 girls team.
