Much talk about the 40* wind shift in the races this morning.Alison Rumball & Nieve Connell (IRL) came off the water dry!! "We were doing so good - and then this big shift came...but we didn't capsize!!!" - unlike manty others apparently. Our special correspondent, John Veldman, went out as a Measurer and came back having been on safety stand-by. "Our job was to check boats and we found no infringements, but even the Measurers must be ready for rescure. The wind was strong and stronger, with the waves building fast".

Su Sandar Wai (of Wai & Khin Nyo Lin 0f Myamar) said "I saw the shift and we came through great. Then we capsized on the next shift!!". We left the MYA coach having a discussion with his team about this! (earnest to the end!).

Tim Saxton & Claire Lasko were cautiously celebrating: "We had been running about tenth from the back, and then we saw this shift coming in - we did not realise how big it was - but we used it and ended the race eigth from the front!", said Tim.
