2018 International 420 High Level Coaches' Clinic

The International 420 Class Association is hosting a High Level Coaches Clinic at the I420 Sailing Academy in Vilamoura, Portugal from 3-7 October 2018. Click on the links below for all the news. Click on the links below for all the news.

The I420 Sailing Academy in Portugal is the first of several Academies to be established and is dedicated to the ongoing education of coaches and sailors to support the 420 Class around the world.

The aim of the High Level Coaches Clinic is to share knowledge and coaching techniques, with sessions delivered by specialists in a mix of shore side theory and on-water practical sessions. Led by Head coach Jim Saltonstall (GBR), long time coach of the British Sailing Team who has encouraged and inspired so many youngsters towards international and Olympic success. Jim will be joined by renowned 420 Coach Michalis Mileos (GRE) (more to be confirmed), along with Pedro Pires de Lima (POR), Dr Bernardo Pessoa (POR) and Drª Mónica Neves (POR).

The essential costs of the Clinic are being met by the International 420 Class Association. Participating coaches just need to cover their transport costs, accommodation and meals.

The Clinic will be a mix of on-water sessions, lectures, exercises and presentations. The Clinic is open to experienced high level coaches from around the world. The maximum number of coaches is 30. If the Clinic is over-subscribed, entries will be limited to a maximum of two per country at the discretion of the organizers.
