2019 420 Class Coaches and Sailor Clinic - South Africa

The International 420 Class is pleased to announce the programme for the Coaches and Sailors Clinic which will be hosted at Hermanus Yacht Club, South Africa from 22-26 September 2019.

As with all the 420 Class development initiatives, registration to the Coaches and Sailors Clinic in South Africa is free of charge, with participants just needing to cover costs for their travel, accommodation and daily meals.

The Clinic is scheduled to take place before the South African 420 National Championship, which are also taking place at Hermanus Yacht Club from 27-30 September, and immediately before the Clinic, the 2019 South African Eastern Cape Championship will take place at East London Yacht Club from 21-24 September.

Led by expert coach Michali Mileos (GRE), the 5-day Coaches and Sailors Clinic features a packed daily programme to equip coaches and sailors with knowledge and expertise in the 420 Class, through a mix of shore side theory and on-water practical sessions. Topics will include:

•   Training Exercises
•   Running a training programme
•   Effective Briefing/Debriefing
•   Racing Rules and Race Management
•   Video Skills
•   Psychology and Physiology
