Spain and United States claimed Gold at the 2022 Youth Sailing World Championships

The 2022 Youth Sailing World Championships concluded today in The Hague, Netherlands, after 5 days of competition.
Spain in 420 Women and United States in 420 Men/Mixed were the World champions.
Spain has also won the Nations Trophy out of the 67 participating nations for having obtained the best results among the 11 youth sailing competitions.
Blue skies and winds of 5 to 8 knots rounded off five days of world-class competition in Scheveningen, near The Hague in the Netherlands.
Strong currents and predominantly light winds made for tactically very challenging racing, with a high premium on good starting.
240 boats have already entered the 2022 420 World Championships

480 sailors from 21 countries around the World have already confirmed their participation in the upcoming 2022 420 World Championships by entering their teams during the reduced entry fee period that closed in July 8th.
The regular entry fee period started now and will be open until the registration dates at the venue.
The event will be held from 5th to 13th August in Alsóörs, Hungary, organised by Balatoni Yacht Club.
