2020 Event Update - World and Junior European Championships combined
Following the announcements cancelling the 2020 World and Junior European Championships to be held in July 2020, the International 420 Class Association Executive Committee have continued to hold regular meetings to discuss the possibility of arranging alternative dates and venues for these events. This announcement is to update you on the latest position.
We believe that, due to the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic around the world, holding two separate events in 2020 is no longer a viable option. Hence, we have made the decision to plan to hold one event that will be a combined World and Junior European Championships.
We are pleased to announce that the Yacht Club San Remo, Italy have offered to host this event from 27th October to 1st November 2020.
Our primary concern remains the safety and wellbeing of our membership and volunteers so clearly the running of this event will be dependent on the development of the global situation in the coming months. We will publish the Notice of Race and provide further information as soon as possible.
