The 14th Asian Sailing Championships are taking place this week at the Guangdong Ocean Sports Training Centre (GOSTC), Shanwei, Guangdong, China.
The 14th Asian Sailing Championships are taking place this week at the Guangdong Ocean Sports Training Centre (GOSTC), Shanwei, Guangdong, China. Eighteen 420 teams, from Bahrain, China, South Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore and Thailand, are entered. We hope to bring news during the event, but , for further information, see the Championship website. The bi-annual Asian Sailing Championships were last held in 2008 in Indonesia, when teams from Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia took the podium. With a increased entry this year, it should be an exciting event!
This is also a test event for the 2010 Asian Games, for which the sailing will also take place at Guangdong, in November.
