Teams from Angola, Mozambique and South Africa are set to contest the open two-person dinghy event in the 420 when racing gets underway at the All African Games today.

Teams from Angola, Mozambique and South Africa are set to contest the open two-person dinghy event in the 420 when racing gets underway at the All African Games today.

The practice race was held on Sunday with two races scheduled for Monday 5 September. Racing will continue through until Sunday 11 September. A total of 11 races are scheduled, with 2 races per day apart from just one race on the final day. The reserve days will be 9 September.

The 420 Class is supporting the All African Games with on-site coaching expertise from Pedro Pinto. Pinto has been supporting the teams with training over the past week, in winds ranging between 8-16 knots. The forecast for the first few days of the All African Games is for light to medium breezes.
