Day 1 of 420 racing at Kieler Woche

With three races completed on day 1 of 2012 Kieler Woche, the top ranked team in the 420 fleet with three impressive races wins are Spain’s David Charles/Alex Charles, followed by Santi Mas Depares/Jaime Menescal (ESP)and Harry Koeppel/Charles Bocklet (USA).

Breezy conditions kept the fleet on their toes on day one, with the breeze up to just over 17 knots, and more of the same is expected tomorrow. The fleet were split into seeded fleets and will be reallocated for tomorrow’s racing.
Racing will continue through until Sunday 24 June 2012.
