Entry and Payment Deadlines extended for Team Racing World Championship
Please note that the entry deadline for the 2016 Team Racing World Championship has been extended to 31 July 2016 and entry fee deadline by 6 August 2016.
The Championship is taking place from 31 August to 3 September, organised by Circolo Vela Gargnano with Univela Sailing ssdrl at hosted at Univela Hostel - Campione del Garda on Lake Garda.
The Notice of Race has been amended as follows:
"5.3 The application period opens on 22 January 2016. The deadline for applications is 31 July 2016.
5.4 Final entries shall be made by paying the TOTAL entry fee by 6 August 2016 after which a late entry fee (€250) will be apply."
Hosted on the same waters of Lake Garda as last year's event, the Team Racing World Championships has proved itself as an attractive formula for young 420 sailors, with a strong line-up competing in last year's debut event.
The entry fee of EUR1,900 per team (6 x sailors, 1 x team leader, 1 x coach) includes the provision of all boats, with support from Nautivela who partnered with the 420 Class to provide all equipment, accommodation and meals for the duration of the Team Racing World Championship.
The Championship targets 420 sailors aged 20 and under in the year of the event, with three skippers and three crews making up each racing team, and a maximum of 4 persons of the same gender per team. A maximum of twelve national teams can compete, with no more than two teams from any one nation.
