FINAL REPORT FROM 420 CLASS COACHES AND SAILORS CLINIC IN MEXICO
Under the guidance of head coach Riccardo de Felice (ITA), the final day of the 5-day Coaches and Sailors Clinic opened on 9 March with a shoreside briefing on race strategy, the crucial situations that can unfold in 420 fleet racing, sharing of top tips, techniques and tactics.
All participants joined an open question and answer session to address any issues from the previous days which were not clear or needed further explanation.
The local coaches then split into four groups and made presentations of the afternoon's group on-water exercises which focused on mark roundings, before going on the water in a light breese of 4-5 knots to put the theory into practice.
