Fish & Co Youth National Championships Kicks Off in Singapore

Day 1 of Singapore's Fish & Co Youth National Championships kicked off on Wednesday 18 March 2015, with thirty 420 sailors from Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore in the mix,

4 Race Days to decide National Titles and qualification points for SEA Games and ISAF Youth Worlds

Racing on course area A, Malaysia’s Muhamad Uzair/Naquib Eiman took the early series lead from 2 race wins, with Loh Jia/Matthew Scott from Singapore just behind. Top placed girls team Yukie Yokoyama/Samantha Neubronner sit close on points in 3rd. Three days of racing to go, so very early days, but these three will be pleased with their opening performance and points advantage. Take a look at the latest results.

The annual Championship is toughly fought over, and more so this year for the young Singaporean sailors, as the event is also a qualifier for the South East Asian Games and ISAF Youth Sailing World Championships. The 28th edition of the SEA Games will once again return to Singapore from 5-16 June 2015. Especially significant to the republic as it celebrates 50 years of independence, and athletes are eager to represent their country in this momentous year. The ISAF Youth Worlds take place in Malaysia, 27 Deccember 2015 - 3 January 2016.

Racing is also taking palce for the Byte, Laser 4.7, Laser Radial, Laser, Optimist, RSX and Techno 293.
