Six 420 teams from Hong Kong were in contention for the boys and girls divisions with the battle contested over an 8 race series out of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club.

Racing got underway in 8 to 10 knots but by the second race it picked up to 12-15 knots. The sailors made the most of the conditions and five races were completed on day one. The points gap was close but Siu Ka Chun/Tsoi Yat Ming held the overnight lead.

The forecast never promised good wind for day two but once in the race area, there was 8-12 knots of wind from the north east. A brief shift towards the north led to some course alternations before the first start but it shifted back towards the east, before steadying for the final 3 races.

The partnership of Siu Ka Chun/Tsoi Yat Ming rose above the fleet to finish first, 4 points clear of Chow Pak Kan/Chan O Tik. Third to Yun Tsz Fung Wilson/Kam Chung Man.
