Portorož Cup / 2020 420 Open Slovenian Championship results
The Portorož Cup and 2020 420 Open Slovenian Championship concluded on Sunday, organized by Jadralni klub PIRAT Portorož.
Martin Fras and Mija Škerlavaj (JK Pirat) became the new 2020 Slovenian champions in the 420 class, escorted on podium by Caterina Sedmak / Matej Planinšič (JK Pirat) and Celestina Sabadin / Veronika Franič (JK Pirat / JK Olimpic).
15 knots from South allowed five races to be held on Friday. Saturday there were no races due to stormy weather. Finally on the last day of the championship with 23 knots of wind and up to 28 on gusts, they were carried out four more races to count nine in total.
Sincere congratulations to the winning podium, national champions and, of course, the organizers, who in this situation responsibly took care of the flawless execution, in accordance with all recommendations related to the prevention of COVID-19 virus infection, and successfully concluded the event.
