Singapore National Youth Championships
The 2012 Singapore National Youth Championships was held from 13-17 March 2012 at the Singapore National Sailing Centre.
Fresh from their silver medal success at the 2012 Asian Games, the pair notched up a scoreline of top 10 finishes in the 15 races series, including six race wins. Choy/Tang finished just one point ahead of rivals Andrew Tang/Jeremiah Yeo, which was even sweeter as Tang/Yeo had beaten them to the gold medal at the Asian Games.
These two secured a massive points margin over the rest of the pack, with Kimberly Lim Min/Savannah Kiah Hui chasing hard to finish in third overall and as the top girls’ team. Lim Min/Kiah Hui won the girls’ division at the Asian Games, so no surprise to see them competing so highly in this fleet.

Thirteen teams contested the Championships, with 7 boys’ and 6 girls’ teams competing in the 15 race series.
Up next for the 420 fleet in Singapore is the National Inter-School Sailing Championships from 17-20 April 2012, with the 420 being used for the Junior College divisions.
