Statement concerning the situation in Ukraine
In line with the World Sailing statement from 1 March 2022, the International 420 Class Executive Committee follows the IOC Executive Board’s recommendation to suspend participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes and officials at 420 Class events.
As a result, effective 2 March 2022 and until further notice, the International 420 Class Association will not accept athletes or officials from Russia or Belarus in any of the 420 World Championships, Junior European Championships and all other Continental and Regional Championships.
The International 420 Class Executive Committee will continue to monitor the situation and may adapt its measures according to future developments. It is looking forward to the end of hostilities and the time in the near future when all nations can compete again together.
