Suria & Basterra (ESP), Stavrou & Orfanos (GRE) win Imperia
The Greek armada sailed into Imperia (see Fabio Taccola’s photo) and Vasilis Tsokaras & Alexandros Mogadam looked strong last night, but with a black flag today in this one-race-a-day Imperia Winter Regatta, that was not to be. But the Greek team was there with back-up!
Michalis Stavrou & Ioannis Orfanos (YC Rufina) won the event. GBRs Ben Saxton & David de Boltz (Grafham Water SC) pulled it back today and took the silver slot to split the Greek team on the podium tonight. Marios Petrogonas & Faidon Kounas (YC of Greece) were 3rd, Agostino Amoretti & Edoardo Raimondo and Giovanni Meloni & Alessandro Gemini 4th and 5th.
