The 2022 Eurosaf 420 Cup started in Sanremo with the Carnival Race
The 2022 420 & 470 The Carnival Race concluded this Sunday, organized by the Yacht Club Sanremo. This was the 8th edition of this fantastic regatta, where almost 300 420 sailors enjoyed of fierce competition. The event also served as kick off for the 2022 Eurosaf 420 Cup.
The French team formed by Zou Schemmel / Jean Philippe Boudard FRA conquered the Open championship after 11 races. The Greek team formed by Giannoulis Lampis / Giannouli Eleni GRE were second, five points behind the champions. The third place overall was for the locals Luca Taglialegne Luca / Silvia Versolatto ITA.
The women’s championship was for the Italians Camilla Michelini / Margherita Bonifaccio ITA, followed by the Germans Valentina Steinlein / Lea Adolph. Carolina Terzi / Sofia Gentili ITA completed the women's overall podium.
The 2022 Eurosaf 420 Cup will continue now in Portugal during the next weekend with the 48th Torneio Internacional de Vela do Carnaval in Vilamoura.
