TIEBREAK DECIDER AT SAISONENDE REGATTA ATTERSEE IN AUSTRIA
Neck and neck racing at the Saisonende Regatta Attersee on Lake Attersee, Austria, 8-9 October 2016 saw a tiebreak decider between Lorenz Pichler/David Schuh and Yannis Saje/Lukas Haberl.
The mainly Austrian line-up of twenty-one 420 teams were joined by teams from Germany and the Czech Republic for the 4-race series over 2 days.
A cold and raindy Saturday reflect in the slightly off-form start from Lorenz Pichler/David Schuh, but sun and breeze on Sunday saw them bounce back at the halfway stage to claim back to back wins, putting them on tiekbreak with Yanis Saje/Lukas Habel. The final race win rewarded Pichler/Schuh with victory.
Disappiontment for Nikolaus Kampelmuhler/Niklas Haberl who were leading the series until race three, going on to finish in third just 1 point off the leaders.
Top girls team in 6th overall were Rosa-Maria Hofer/Viktoria Puxkandl.
