420 WORLDS NOTICE OF RACE PUBLISHED AND ONLINE ENTRY OPEN
The Notice of Race for the 2017 420 World Championships has been published.
The 2017 420 World Championship is being hosted at Fremantle Sailing Club (FSC), Fremantle, Australia from 26 December 2017 to 3 January 2018, and organized in partnership with the FSC, Australian Sailing, Australian and WA 420 Class Association, and the International 420 Class Association.
With separate racing fleets for Open, Ladies and the U17 division - the 420 Worlds embraces all levels of competition. To ensure the highest quality of racing, entries are limited by quotas for each division, with nations entitled to send teams as follows:
- 2017 420 World Championships - is open to teams of all ages. Each nation is entitled to 7 boats, with 14 boats for the host nation.
- 2017 420 Ladies World Championships - is open to teams of all ages. Each nation is entitled to 7 boats, with 14 boats for the host nation.
- 2017 U17 420 World Championship - is restricted to athletes aged 16 and under at the end of 2017. Each 420 National Class Association is entitled to enter 6 boats (3 boats men or mixed and 3 boats ladies) and the host NCA entitled to 12 boats (6 boats men or mixed and 6 boats ladies). All entries to the U17 World Championship will race in one fleet. If there are less than 30 entries the U17 fleet will be included in the respective of Worlds and Ladies fleet.
Online entry is open and each National Class Association has been sent their individual login details to complete online entry. Emails are sent to the contact details we hold on record for each National Class Association, so please check the details at http://www.420sailing.org/default/classinfo
The NCA online entry login details are the same for all 420 Championships.
The entry fee is EUR300 and all entries and entry fee payments shall be made by 26 November 2017. From 26 November onwards, the increased entry fee of EUR375 applies and entries will be subject to Class approval.
