42nd Grand Prix de l'Armistice
he 42nd Grand Prix de l'Armistice is the first of the French National Autumn Championship, and attracted 108 competitors. In addition to the prolific French showing, seven teams came from Spain, one from Belgium and four British boats. With two days no racing, the six races (for the Gold Fleet) were concentrated on Monday and Tuesday.
Victory went to Camille Rossi/Aurelie Villette (FRA) with a 2 point margin over Yvann Thelier/Gauthier Germain. Rossi/Villette sailed in a class of their own with thriee first places, and only taking a slight dip with a seventh place posted in the final race 6 of the series.
Spain secured third overall with Santiago Mas depares/Jaime Menesca LM on equal points with the second placed French team, but losing out on tiebreak.
An excellent performance from Jennifer Poret/Louise Chevet (FRA) who were the second top girls team in fifth overall.
Top British team were Jess Lavery/Georgie Mothersele in ninth overall, with a 2nd in race 2.
