Race day 4 in Formia - 2021 420 & 470 Junior Europeans

Light wind conditions prevented the 420 class to add new races to scores today at the 2021 420 & 470 Junior European championships in Formia, Italy.

Only the smaller 470 fleets could manage to sail two new races with a 6 knots breeze and are counting now 9 races in total.

470 results

Niclas Lehmann / Niklas Haberl AUT continue to lead the 470 championship with 18 points. Jacobo Garcia / Javier Mestre ESP are second with 24. Third place for Paolo Bozzano / Michele Casano ITA with 27.

Marco Gradoni / Alessandra Dubbini ITA are still on top of the 470 Mixed championship with 27 points, but closely now followed by Maria Bover / Fernando Rodriguez ESP and Tal Sade / Noa Lasry ISR with 30 and 31 units respectively.

More races coming tomorrow so stay tuned! The event will close on Saturday 31st.


Schedule for tomorrow is the following:

10:30 - Coaches and sailors meeting at the tent.

420 class
420 U17 fleet and 420 Gold fleet will sail at Race Area Alpha.
12:30 - First warning signal
Intending starting order:
• 420 U17 fleet – outer loop
• 420 Gold fleet – inner loop
The intention of the Race Committee is to complete 3 races for 420 - U17 fleet and 420 - Gold fleet

420 Silver fleet will sail at Race Area Bravo.
First warning signal for the 420 Silver fleet will be after the start of the 470 fleet.
The intention of the Race Committee is to complete 3 races for 420 Silver fleet.

13:00 - First warning signal
The intention of the Race Committee is to complete 2 races.
