It was a test of nerves in the 420 class with points extremely close at the top of the fleet, but it was Craig Dibb (Warsash SC) and Charlie Cox (Royal Lymington Yacht Club) who stole the day's headlines as they finished their first three races in the top three including two bullets, to put themselves in fourth overall.

The 2011 RYA Volvo Youth National Championships got off to a flying start at Hayling Island Sailing Club, Hayling Island, Great Britain today (Monday 11 April) and witnessed some superb sail racing as the nation’s finest Youth sailors and windsurfers utilised the near perfect weather conditions.

The fourth and final day of the 420 European Coaches Seminar wrapped up with a morning lecture session and after presentations from three of the participant coaches on the final morning.

On Day 3, Sunday 27 March 2011, at the 420 European Coaches Seminar taking place in Austria, world renowned coach Jim Saltonstall focused the morning session on classroom theory, including: Starting, Tactics and Racing Rules.

The seminar started on 25 March 2011 at the Austrian Sailing Federation facilities of Lake Neusiedl.

Day 1 of the opening Coaching Development Seminar of 2011 has got underway today in Austria.

Craig Dibb & Charlie Cox won the UK Winter Championships at held at Datchet Water SC, taking wins in three of the six races and giving themselves a 9 point lead to set their team selection campaign off to a great start.

Alex Munro & Brad Moss are the 2011 NZL National Champions on a net score (from 10 races, after two drops) of 19 points, with Verity Judge & Gemma Jones, the 2011 Women’s Champions in 2nd place overall on 33 points and Sam Mackay & Oscar Rorik a very close 3rd on 34 points.

Winners at Sail Auckland at the beginning of February, Alex Munro & Brad Moss are evidently well on form in Wellington’s Evans Bay for the three day National Championships with a clean scorecard after the three races on Day 1.
