New Zealand National Championships underway at New Plymouth YC

We are picking up results from New Plymouth (follow link above) and some information from the NZL Class Association , but, so far the first names of the sailors are (officially at least) elluding us. But some names do rather stand out in the mind, and the first two boats competing in their own special competition at this early stage are familiar! Racing continues to Monday.

Monday saw the 420s complete their final 2 races. Conditions were NE 4-6 knots for the first race. The second race was shorted at mark 3 after 55 minutes sailing when the wind dropped to under 3 knots.
